Dexis is seeking an experienced Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID project that is expected to promote resilience at the community level, with the goal of addressing drivers of VE, building community engagement and identity, and strengthening social cohesion between marginalized populations and the rest of Tunisia. This is a long-term position expected to start in latter half of 2017. This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the main point of contact for the contract with USAID regarding day to day implementation and management
• Lead and oversee the operations of the contract to achieve successful implementation of activities
• Ensure the completion of timely deliverables, including but limited to work plans, M&E plans, and technical reports. Ensuring deliverables meet USAID quality control/assurance standards
• Mentor local staff to enhance capacity, actively contribute expertise to the Contract, and provide strategic and operational direction
Qualifications:
• An Advanced degree in a related field
• At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in successfully managing complex international development projects
• At least 5 years of experience in managing USAID projects preferably in the region and dealing with a similar subject manner
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, management, capacity building, facilitation and presentation skills
• Experience designing and implementing community resilience, youth development, peacebuilding, and/or countering violent extremism activities
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills with demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively with a wide range of staff
• Strong communication, supervision, and management skills and experience; fluency in written and spoken English is required, as well as fluency in French and/or Arabic
