The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) is currently recruiting for a Marketing/Communications Manager for a health related Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with details as follows:

Communication/Marketing Manager (Lagos)

Reporting to the Executive Director, The successful candidate will provide communication and marketing expertise within the organization as follows:

  • Support various communication, marketing, and community engagement/mobilization strategies and tactics
  • Play a key role in developing informational and promotional materials, marketing and dissemination plans, and webinars for various audiences.
  • Be dynamic while working on new innovative areas and issues
  • Oversee communication efforts including development of communication and marketing plans through traditional and digital communication channels
  • Lead the development of content for print and digital communication materials, videos, webinars and infographics
  • Provide overall quality control for all products
  • Collaborate with team members to identify client needs and generate innovative ideas to engage key audiences
  • Provide technical input into translating research into persuasive communication products
  • Manage digital communication channels including websites and social media channels
  • Ensures timely implementation and monitors project activities against work plans
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, subcontractors, researchers, other team members and partners, and clients to establish workflows and timelines
  • Contribute actively to business development efforts.

Requirements

  • At least a first degree in any Art, Science or Social Science program and a minimum of 7 years’ cognate experience with some exposure to marketing and communication for a health related NGO
  • Understanding of NGO’s operations, best practices and audiences
  • Knowledge of programmes in an NGO environment, strong negotiation, communication and networking skills and knowledge of relevant Nigerian legislation
  • Capacity to manage multiple communication/marketing projects simultaneously
  • Experience with website, infographics, newsletter production and message development
  • Strong computer skills – competent with MS office suite, WordPress, Photoshop and design/layout software
