Community Mobilisation Officer
Job description
Given the purpose, mandate and vision of LifeCo UnLtd SA, the Community Liaison Officer role is largely supportive in carrying out relationship building, stakeholder management, project-related and administrative activities while simultaneously representing LifeCo UnLtd SA and Dorper Wind Farm. The role will require one to have stakeholder and project management abilities, have the ability to multitask and be a personable and professional representative of the community office (the interface between the various stakeholders). The Coordinator will assist in the coordination and implementation of development projects, serving as a connection between the community, service providers, stakeholders, LifeCo UnLtd and Dorper, as well as reporting on the various development projects.
- The Community Liaison Officer must reside in the Eastern Cape, preferably in Queenstown, or must be willing to relocate to within proximity of Molteno and Sterkstroom.
- To be flexible in approach to work and undertake any other duties that may be required with the remit of the organisation.
- Support in building strong and meaningful relationships with community members, local government, associations and forums.
- Support in finding, securing and maintaining relationships with local service providers and stakeholders for development projects.
- Support in sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with additional service providers and stakeholders that may not currently exist within the communities.
- Support in planning, implementing and assessing socio economic and enterprise development projects.
- Support in and facilitate any community-based research, data analysis and report compilation required.
- Assist in the production and distribution of regular reports and news bulletins for the partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Create, maintain and update the community and enterprise development stakeholder and partner database.
