Data Clerk to be based in its Maiduguri Office

Position: Nigerian nationals only

DATA CLERK-MAIDUGURI

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be in charge of data entry in the implementation of Nutrition/Food Assistance Project. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a database of the beneficiaries, distributions and prepare monthly reports. Under the supervision and guidance of the Nutrition Coordinator, s/he will be expected to ensure that high quality data is maintained and communicated to the relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, s/he will be expected to demonstrate strong numerical, analytical and statistical competencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make sure that accurate data are entered into the database
  • Review data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Create a database for nutrition supplies.
  • transcribe information into required electronic format
  • Create a database of all registered beneficiaries and update database on a regular basis;
  • Compile and Analyze Data from Mass Screening
  • respond to requests for information and access relevant files
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Good knowledge and experience of data base skills;
  • Good computer skills especially Word and Excel.
  • Organization, Typing, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence, Analyzing Information , Results Driven, Energy Level
  • Ability to keep clear and up to date records
  • ability to work under pressure
  • knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
  • Experience with different Data entry management software within a humanitarian organization

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Higher National Diploma in Statistics, Economics, Business Management or other related disciplines and at least two (2) years of professional experience in Food Security interventions. Experience in north east Nigeria is an added advantage.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics: Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
