ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Digital Campaigns Officer will provide support to the management of ONE’s online and offline campaigns for ONE’s work in Nigeria and globally. The position would suit a self-starter with at least three years’ experience in campaigning and a track record of delivering in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, project management experience and a demonstrable commitment to ONE’s mission. They will have experience of both online and offline campaigning and of digital and social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter. This is a full-time position reporting to the Nigeria Director with dotted line to Senior Director, Global Digital and will be based in Abuja Nigeria.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop, execute monitor and evaluate country level campaigns plans and activities working in collaboration with relevant Nigeria, African and global team members
  • Work with the Africa, marketing and campaigns teams to coordinate and draft campaigns messages and materials which encourage people to get involved and take action, grow membership, and improve engagement
  • Support the day to day management of the ONE Champions program in Nigeria working under the direction of the Campaigns Coordinator, Africa
  • Support ONE prospective member recruitment via digital and mobile channels
  • Provide support to ONE Africa creative manager, ONE Africa campaigns Coordinator and ONE Africa digital coordinator in the e creation of relevant campaign messages and content
  • Work with the Africa digital coordinator and the global digital team to plan and analyze digital engagement and provide reports to the Nigeria and Africa teams
  • Support online and offline member and ONE champion engagement
  • Produce content for the ONE blog
  • Any other duties as appropriate to the role

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • At least three years’ experience of supporting online and offline campaigns
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience using digital and social media platforms to support campaigning efforts
  • Experience with membership recruitment
  • Experience working with young people and volunteers
  • Self-starter who can work independently and has a desire to learn new skills
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to multitask and determine priority projects/assignments
  • Ability to think critically and independently
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness to respond to a fast-paced work environment with shifting deadlines
  • General interest and dedication to the mission of ONE
  • Ability to consistently apply good judgment and make good and responsible decisions
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of work at all times
