Columba Leadership seeks to appoint a Finance and Admin Officer, based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

Financial Admin

  • Assist with preparation of the budget
  • Implement financial policies and procedures
  • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements
  • Establish new and maintain existing supplier accounts
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into SAGE Pastel
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • Receive and verify invoices
  • Process and record petty cash transactions
  • Maintain the assets register
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Process employee payslips and forward to all staff
  • To book staff travel, conferences and training where required
  • To assist the CFO with adhoc duties from time to time

HR Admin duties

  • Establish and maintain confidential staff files
  • Process staff info sheets for payroll purposes
  • Assist with recruitment process
  • Prepare interview packs for interview panel such as interview questionnaires and CVs
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies, candidates and panel members
  • Administer HR-related documentation such as contracts of employment, staff info sheet, medical aid forms
  • Attend to HR related queries
  • Assist with preparations for Induction (Logistics, material and schedule)
  • Assist with the preparation of Training programmes (Logistics and travel where required)
  • Assist with capturing of attendance registers
  • Maintain training records on dashboard

CEO Admin Support

  • Manage CEO’s diary
  • Book travel arrangement
  • Credit recons
  • Typing of documents
  • Assist CEO with Adhoc duties from time to time

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Post qualification in finance or Business Administration (Preferable)
  • Good understanding of Accounting principles
  • Knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience in using Pastel Evolution
