The Opportunity: Global Assurance Senior
Global Assurance is part of Plan’s governance framework and has been established to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve Plan’s operations. It helps Plan accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
The role of the Global assurance senior is to conduct and manage assurance engagements at regional and global level so as to provide management with assurance that key systems, processes, policies and controls are working as expected.
Influence change within and across the organization to strengthen risk management, accountability and effectiveness and support management in improving operations and provide a platform for learning across Plan.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and conduct assurance engagements.
Manage assignment team and ensure the work is performed by a team which is cost-effective, efficient, skilled in their area of expertise and compliant with the expectation Plan has of all staff.
The Person
The incumbent will have Demonstrable knowledge of principles of auditing and risk management and be aware of the risks facing the development sector. Awareness of development sector standards (Sphere, PiAid, Core Humanitarian Standard), have experience of practical programme management as well as awareness of emerging practice in programme effectiveness and impact measurement with experience on various donors conditions and requirements.
The GA Assurance senior will demonstrate good Interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, H/S will be working with other GA teams and therefore must demonstrate a strong team leader with good influencing, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills. The incumbent should possess relevant undergraduate degree.
