Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (authorized NPO) is an international NGO. AAR Japan was founded in 1979 by Yukika SOHMA, our first chairperson, with a mission to help refugees from Indochina, and as a civil organization without any political, religious, or ideological affiliations.

It has since then grown into an international organization approved and registered by the United Nations.

 

Financial Manager 

Period: 1st March 2017 to 30th November 2017

Language: Fluent in Japanese. English is required

Main Objective:

The Financial Manager will execute financial, administrative, legal, logistical and procurement related tasks including documentations under supervision of Head of Office.

Donor Relation Officer – 2 positions

Period: 1st March 2017 to 30th November 2017

Language: Fluent in Japanese. English is required

Main Objective:

The Donor Relation Officer is required to communicate frequently with Embassy of Japan, the major donor of AAR Japan.
He/She will also take part a monitoring and evaluation of our beneficiaries.

Association for Aid and Relief, Japan (AAR Japan) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1979 as an organization with no political, ideological, or religious affiliation, we aim to extend emergency and long-term support to the people in need of help. Since 1979, we have operated in over 60 countries and areas, and are currently active in Japan and other 16 countries.

AAR Japan was founded in 1979 with a mission to help refugees from Indochina, and as a civil organization without any political, religious, or ideological affiliations. It has since then grown into an international NGO approved and registered by the United Nations. AAR Japan has five main pillars of activities; 1) emergency assistance, 2) assistance to persons with disabilities, 3) landmine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) action, 4) action against infectious diseases and 5) public awareness raising about global issues in Japan. Since the beginning, AAR Japan has operated in over 60 countries. Currently we are active in 17 countries and areas, including 4 African countries namely Kenya, Zambia, Sudan and Uganda.
