As Media and Digital Content Officer you will identify opportunities to engage with the media, implement a pro-active multi-channel communications programme, undertake reputational crisis media work, and manage media plans around key events. You will be involved in the ongoing development, coordination and execution of an online strategy, and digital activism strategy with multiple stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have awareness and understanding of South Africa’s general news and current affairs issues, and familiarity with popular social platforms and online limitations. You will have working experience in creating and managing digital content, and with audience mapping and strategy development. Working knowledge of media technologies and formats, including with graphics editing software and audio-visual editing tools is required, and experience with content management systems (CMS) is highly desired. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator with sound judgment and reputational crisis management experience. Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of additional languages ideal. You’ll show expertise and understanding in and of human rights and be able to align strategic thinking with operational delivery.
