The Role
As Project Coordinator you will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of all programmatic and financial aspects of the program in accordance with proposal, monitoring and evaluation plan, performance framework, procurement plan and detailed budget.
You will work in collaboration with implementing partners, and other stakeholders, and guide the coordination team in the implementation of all project activities.
You will represent Plan International Togo and Plan International France externally at national level.
Duties include:
- Oversee all project activities and ensure the achievement of all contractual targeted results based on the project proposal and agreement between Plan International Togo, Plan International France, their partners and the Government of Togo
- Ensure implementation of quality programming with the most competitive costs, and ensure compliance with national and global recognized standards as well as with Plan International and the donor’s regulations
- Oversee the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes
- Manage project budgets, including tracking of financial and material resources, and oversee the design of periodic activity-based project budgets
- Act as primary project contact to the Ministry of Health and the French Development Agency in Togo
- Professionally lead, manage and supervise individual and team performances so that the project coordination team achieves project objectives and meets Plan’s standards and procedures
Do you have what it takes?
In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role you will require demonstrable knowledge and understanding of working in Senior project/program development and implementation, management, and strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, team and office management or related field.
Proven experience in Public Health in Africa as well as in in community development.
Extensive experience in management or administration of health projects and in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs and managing pool of technical support.
Knowledge of effective participatory M&E systems, of strategic planning processes and of financial management systems.
Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development, particularly in public health.
Understanding of the gender approach at each stage of the project cycle.
Fluency in French both written and verbal.

Location: Togo country office – 50% of the time at the Country Office in Lomé and the other 50% at the Program Unit Atakpamé
