Sightsavers has an exciting vacancy for a Programme Officer to join our team based in Mali.  You will join our team and be instrumental in in various programmes including Social Inclusion, inclusive education and Health.

The position reports to the Programme Manager and will coordinate and provide technical support to the Coordinated Approach towards Community Eye Health Project, Community Based Rehabilitation and Inclusive Education in Mali through planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a University Degree in Social Sciences, Development studies, Public Health or equivalent from a recognised University.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience, ideally in an INGO environment; experience in all aspects of Project Management in community level development programmes; and experience in health programming. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in programme and project management; monitoring and evaluation; report writing; and working with a number of partners. Experience and understanding of government systems particularly the health and education sectors will be advantageous.

You will have strong interpersonal, communication, capacity building or facilitation skills; ability to work under minimum supervision; ability to work with project budgets and in-depth knowledge of computer packages and Global ICT communication systems
