Aktis is recruiting a Project Coordinator to work on an upcoming Capacity Assessment of Rule of Law Institutions project in Libya. This is part of a larger project which aims to strengthen Local capacities for resilience and recovery in three Libyan municipalities by building the capacities of the selected local municipalities.

Specific justice and security needs in target municipalities will be analysed, in view of identifying the most relevant and feasible capacity development support that can be provided by the project (including basic refurbishments and equipment, systems development, capacity-building, training and coordination). Needs assessment and gap analysis should be matched with feasible and implementable actions suggested for further project implementation.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative, has outstanding social skills and is highly organised. This role will be initially located in Tunis and travel to Libya.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years specialized experience in coordination;
  • Bachelor degree in Social Science or in relevant field;
  • Worked in multinational project teams;
  • Minumum 5-7 years experience working in the Middle East and North Africa
  • Demonstrated how to effectively manage an array of different stakeholders – host country governments, INGO, NGO partners, private sector and international donors;
  • Good English and Arabic language skills
