Proposal Summary:
The five-year USAID Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Contract will help USAID/Uganda strengthen its performance and, to a lesser extent the performance of its implementing partners, in collaborating, learning and performing in order to fortify the impact and sustainability of USAID-supported contributions to Uganda’s development.

Position Summary:
MSI seeks five (5) project management assistants to support USAID/Uganda in monitoring the work of implementing partners. These are long-term positions over the course of the five-year life of the project.
Responsibilities:
The project management assistants will help the project’s contracting officer’s representative to:
- Monitor implementing partner (IP) performance, helping to ensure the quality and accuracy of IP data and reporting, IP compliance with U.S. Government policies and regulations, and progress toward results.
- Monitor IP expenditures to ensure that expenditures are reasonable and consistent with activity progress.
- Make recommendations with regard to administrative approval of expenditures.
- Meet USAID/Uganda reporting requirements.
- Prepare briefing papers, success stories and other outreach documents.
- Plan for USAID/Uganda events and field trips.
- Maintain files.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, business or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project or program management on donor-funded development projects.
- Three (3) years of monitoring and evaluation experience.
- Experience with USAID or another donor.
- Working knowledge of and experience with US Government-funded program management, policies, regulations and procedures.
