World Learning, a major American education technical assistance and consulting firm, seeks Nigerian experts for an anticipated access to education project in northeastern Nigeria. The USAID-funded Addressing Education in Northeast Nigeria Activity will increase equitable access to certified basic education opportunities for target girls and boys (ages 6 to 15) living in conflict-affected targeted areas in northeastern Nigeria (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe, with a possible expansion of select interventions into Gombe).

Chief of Party:
Requirement:

  • MA in a relevant area, with 10 years of experience in education, including 5 years of experience serving in a leadership role for USAID or similar donor-funded education projects;
  • Understanding of education issues in northern Nigeria, and knowledge of counterparts, individuals, and organizations active in access to education and inclusive development.

Deputy Chief of Party:
Requirement:

  • MA in a relevant area, with 8 years of experience in education, including experience serving in a leadership role for USAID or similar donor-funded education projects.
  • Solid understanding of development and education issues in northern Nigeria

Director of Finance & Operations:
Requirement:

  • BA in international development, public or business administration, policy, or related.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing development funds, and grant making program design and implementation.

Director of Monitoring, Evaluation Research & Learning (MERL):
Requirement:

  • MA in a related area, with 6 years of experience in M&E of education sector programs;
  • Experience in monitoring results and indicators of education access and quality, and the use of complexity-aware monitoring methods.
