Position Summary:
The MEL Officers will support the implementation of MEL activities for the EmpowerHER project. They will lead data collection, verification, and reporting for all training, outreach, surveys, and service utilization tracking. Each officer will report to the MEL Coordinator and work closely with program staff, health workers, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead routine data collection for trainings, household visits, community events, and PHU service utilization.
- Administer surveys, pre/post-tests, and interviews using digital tools (e.g., KoboToolbox).
- Ensure data quality through regular verification, spot checks, and support to field teams.
- Track and upload accurate data on participants, outputs, and outcome indicators.
- Support community-based monitoring tools (e.g., CHW logs, Mothers’ Club reports).
- Assist in organizing and documenting quarterly reviews and learning sessions.
- Liaise with PHUs and DHMTs for data collection and alignment with national systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- At least 3 years of MEL or data collection experience in development or health projects.
- Working knowledge of Results-Based Management (RBM) and indicator tracking.
- Proficiency in KoboToolbox and Excel; familiarity with SPSS or similar tools is an asset.
- Experience conducting field surveys, FGDs, or interviews in rural settings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
