Job Title: Consultant, Nigerian Agricultural Enterprise Curriculum

Location: Biu, Borno
Employment Type: Contract

Scope of Work 

  • This activity aligns with ALMRI’s interest of assisting small holder farmers reduce their production costs and improve their yields (both the quantity and quality of products at harvest). The training of Trainers of the Agricultural extension, Village agents and Lead farmers initiative also conforms with the projects aim to support the expansion of the business models by improving their skills in training capacity and ability to identify opportunities within the agricultural value chain.
  • The overall scope of work for this assignment is to equip farm services providers with the right technical and business skills required to perform their services commercially and sustainably. The trainer/ consultant should provide the following:
    • 80 Pieces of NAEC printed training manuals.
    • 50 Packs of training materials for participants
    • 2 NAEC Kits

Selection Criteria And ToR For Naec Trainer
The deliverables will include:

  • Business skills training – record keeping, marketing and sales, customer relationship management. The NAEC curriculum adapted by USAID will be used for this session. To be facilitated by a certified NAEC trainer for agricultural value chains.
  • Production of Training materials for trainees.
  • Production of training 2 kits.
  • Mentoring.
  • Certification.
  • Final report.

It is expected that a total of 10 days will be required for the training on business skills. This is broken down into: Five days for preparation/development of training modules and materials, five days to deliver the training and 5 days for mentoring, certification and report writing. This is excluding the travel days. (But must not be more than 3 days). The training is scheduled for week of 26th October, 2020.

Costs

  • The cost of delivering this assignment will be as negotiated with MC procurement team in line with available budget. The total cost of this activity should cover both travels and logistics (transportation and accommodation).
