Call for “Proposal” for Project Audit – Funded by Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC)
DRC Introduction:
Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a Danish international non-governmental organisation, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. DRC is present in more than 30 conflict territories around the world assisting displaced people with shelter, food, income generating activities, and wide range of other assistance. It is of utmost importance for DRC to work in compliance with the DRC Accountability and Quality Management system and national legislations. Smooth, reliable and effective operational systems are preconditions for DRC to maintain its position as a trustworthy and reliable partner for our donors and an accountable organisation towards our beneficiaries.
DRC has been operating in the West Africa region for over 15 years, running a combination of emergency, livelihood, protection and advocacy programmes through Country Offices (COs) Guinea, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria and a Regional Office (RO) in Dakar.
DRC started operating in Nigeria in 2015 where plans to run a combination of emergency, livelihood, WASH, protection and advocacy programmes has been set. DRC currently has offices in Abuja, Yola, Mubi, Maiduguri and in Yobe.
Background:
DRC in Nigeria is intending to hire a locally registered audit firm with good repute affiliated with one of top global audit firm for Audit of its recently completed Project funded by Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC).
The brief description of the Project is as below:
Project Name: Strengthening the protective environment and supporting early recovery in northeast Nigeria
Donor: Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC)
Implementing Partner: Danish Refugee Council (DRC)
Project Duration: 15th December 2018 to 14th of November 2019
Project Area: Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states, Nigeria
Financial & Other record: All Financial Books & other documents are available in DRC & DRC offices in Yola.
Audit Scope & Objectives:

This Audit will require to be finalized by 25th January 2020 whereas final report to be submitted by 31st of January 2020.

All bidders must submit:
- Detailed technical proposal about how you will undertake the audit, detailing methodology and other processes (no longer than ten pages) in English
- CVs of the team and qualifications/background
- Proof of previous audits (samples of methodology and recommendation sections) with at least 1 International NGO in Nigeria
- Fees / Costs of the audit filled in the request for quotation template (Annex C)
The fees must include the travel, per diem and accommodation costs. DRC will undertake the logistics (pick up, drop off airport and pick up, drop off hotel in Yola)
- A detailed work plan
- Proof of registration as a company.
- The supplier profile and registration filled in and stamped (Annex D)
