Innovation Against Poverty Challenge Fund II (IAP-II) is designed to support entrepreneurs financially and technically to develop innovative Inclusive Business models in Cambodia, Uganda, Zambia and Ethiopia that deliver both commercial benefits for the private sector and developmental benefits for the low income people, in terms of job creation, income improvements and availability of more affordable goods and services.
Objective
The video is part of IAP communication strategy. It aims to showcase and disseminate the experience and depth of social impact that the IAP fund has achieved during the past two years of implementation. The focus of the video will be on low income people (LIP) that are benefitting from the company’s products or services as users/consumers, suppliers or distributers. The video(s) will be used as a communication tool to raise awareness on how LIP benefit from Inclusive Business activity and inspire entrepreneurs with inclusive business ideas to apply for the next call of proposals.
Job Requirements
- Professional film producers with at least 5 years of experience of producing films of similar type
- Proven track records of making inspirational short films/documentaries/advocacy videos
- Production of a complete video based on the script agreed upon by IAP-SNV and the producer
- Operating in Ethiopia
- Relevant renewed licence and tax registration;
- University degree and/or certificate in audio-visual studies, cinematography or any other related field of study;
- High level of knowledge and experience of automated systems to handle the web-based management systems for uploading onto the publisher’s website;
- In-depth and up-to-date knowledge in using website development, film editing and production and photo story making software and office software packages – MS Office Word, Excel, Publisher, Visio, Adobe in Design, Illustrator to produce high quality cases stores, Practice briefs or case studies, and a Summary;
- Excellent technical capacities (state of the art photography and filming equipment preferably High Definition) to ensure smooth and high quality production;
- Ownership or possession of full HD video camera , 1920 x1080p, 50FPS with its accessories;
- Ownership or possession of a high resolution state-of-the-art professional camera;
- Experience in development communication;
- Submission of three recently produced similar documents;
- Submission of three reference letters for performing similar assignments in the last five years;
- Submission of name and contact addresses of three references who can witness/testify good performance;
- Fluency in Amharic and English,
- Ability to work in close coordination with SNV team members.

Interested firms or individuals should submit a financial proposal in response to the EoI, which should include the following:
- Cover letter
- CV that includes credentials that clearly state the experience of the applicant/s
- At least three samples of their works
- At least three references in the last 12 months and the contact details
- Legal registration certificate
In detail the technical proposal of a maximum 10 pages (including annexes) that include the following contents is expected to be submitted:
- a) Short company/firm profile;
- b) Approach/methodology/steps to be followed to carry out the assignment;
- c) Production team members, roles and responsibilities;
- d) Summary of qualification and related assignment experience of production members;
- e) Summary of related assignment accomplished by the applicant firm in the last five years:
- Name of client/project;
- Type/description of work accomplished;
- Time period/when
- f) Name and recent address of three referees;
- g) Tentative work plan;
- h) Annexes:
- Three sample related videos accomplished by the applicant firm, videos produced by the proposed production crew members are preferred;
- Reference letters (three);
- License and tax registration document
Financial proposal with clear description of budget items, unit of measurement and quantity, unit rate, total budget, and any applicable tax (not more than 1 page).
