A. Background of Financing Agency (PADD/BftW)

Protestant Agency for Diakonia and Development (PADD)/Bread for the World (BftW) is an international development agency owned by the Protestant Churches in Germany based in Berlin. One of its regional offices is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, registered as an international NGO with the Federal Republic of Ethiopia Charities and Societies Agency, registration number 1295. PADD works through a great variety of faith based and secular civil society partners around the world whom they share similar values. The Horn of Africa Regional Office (RO) works with partners in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. The main thematic areas of PADD are: (1) food security and agriculture, (2) rural development, (3) essential resources/ecological dimension of sustainable development, (4) civil society support, (5) basic social services and (6) conflict management and peace building.

PADD/BftW would like to invite consultancy firms for organizational capacity assessment of the following of its partner.

i) Community Organization for Relief and Development (CORD)

· CORD (Somalia) – Head Office (Bosaso)

Minimum Qualifications:

Ø Language skills: English for reporting

Ø Renewed Business license

Ø Professional license

Ø Tax Identification/Tax Payer Certificate

Ø Value Added Tax (VAT) Certificate

Ø Experience in doing organization capacity assessment NGOs (Local and International)

Note: Minimum experience is 5 years and above.
