POSITION – CASHIER

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Process the financial transactions of WV Angola specifically payments, charges, adjustments and receipts on a timely basis and in accordance to WV guidelines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Petty Cash custodian; Prepare Cash Count & Petty cash replenishment in accordance with WV guidelines
  • Process all payment requests and employee expense reports ensuring completeness of supporting documentation/authorization. Includes preparation of disbursement vouchers using voucher interface, checks, letters of authorities & transfer letters.
  • Ensure that disbursement vouchers (CDVs) are completely filed and voucher interface is submitted for Sunsystems import
  • Process receipts from staff and ensure these are either deposited in the bank and/or recorded in the petty cash book as applicable. Includes preparation of deposit vouchers.
  • Ensure that deposit vouchers (DVs) are filed completely filed and voucher interface are submitted for Sunsystems import
  • Daily cash monitoring of cash in bank Kwz and USD
  • Assist in the finance administration, audits as well as assist in maintenance of WV databases (GEMS, LDRs, AP)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Must have strong computer skills. Knowledge of computerised accounting packages
  • Must have at least two year’s experience in an Accounts department, with experience of performing bookkeeping and account reconciliations
