CCCM Monitors – 2 positions
Work Location: Monguno
Reporting to: CCCM Focal Point
ROLE PURPOSE:
INTERSOS is looking for highly motivated, flexible, reliable and trustworthy CCCM Monitors to implement
CCCM project activities in assigned location.
KEY JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate measures to ensure that principles of partnership are fully respected in managing coordination mechanism;
- Manual/ electronic registration of affected population through defined data entry tools;
- Support and collaborate with SEMA/NEMA in site management activities;
- Monitor the living conditions in camp sites, define gaps and prioritize needs;
- Alert the Camp manager and CCCM Monitor Focal Point on new arrivals and departures, and any incident or urgent needs to be addressed in order to ensure a rapid response;
- Collect information on regular basis and refer to partners, if relevant, to address an issue in a timely manner. Follow up to ensure the matter has been resolved;
- Report information timely and send all data weekly;
- Support and coordinate camp management activities in campsites. Work closely with partner field teams to collect and share data; coordinate delivery of service, ensuring gaps are identified and
- redundancies do not occur;
- Ensure the mobilization and participation of the site and host populations in the site governance system and camp activities, with particular emphasis on meaningful inclusion of women, children,
- elderly and persons with specific needs into decision-making processes;
- Support in organization of meetings with authorities and community groups under the supervision of CCCM Monitor FP and/or the Camp Manager;
- Support in maintaining site information management systems and monitor service provision including cross-cutting services such as prevention and response to sexual and gender-based
- violence (SGBV), health, psychosocial support and HIV among others in all sectors of the site according to agree upon guidelines, standards and indicators.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BA in Social Sciences or related
- Minimum 1year of experience in humanitarian work
- Minimum 2 year experience in a CCCM role (is desirable)
- Basic Knowledge of IDP context in Nigeria
- Basic knowledge of CCCM standards
- Experience is staff management
- Cultural sensitiveness
- Computer skills (KOBO, Word and Excel);
- Good command of written and spoken English, Kanuri and Hausa Languages
- Strong listening and empathy skills, as well as commitment to supporting women and children survivors/ at risk;
- Ability and motivation to work well with local authorities, local leaders and local community;
- Willing to work extra hours and available at the weekend for emergency cases.
