Chemonics seeks chiefs of party for anticipated USAID HIV service delivery support projects in Kenya. These projects aim to improve and increase access and utilization of quality health services through strengthened service delivery and institutional capacity of county health systems. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the project’s technical vision and strategic approach
  • Oversee contract implementation and manage the project team and consortium members
  • Liaise with USAID and other stakeholders in Kenya
  • Ensure the project complies with contract terms and USAID policies and regulations, and oversee systems in place to mitigate risk of fraud, waste, and abuse

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in public health, social services, management, business administration, or other relevant field
  • Minimum seven years of demonstrated and recent experience in senior staff position in support of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment; quality improvement and assurance; health systems strengthening; monitoring and evaluation; or operations research
  • Minimum seven years of experience in managing complex public health programs, including program, financial, and administrative management, contractual compliance, subaward management, and tracking project performance and costs via specific funding streams
  • Minimum five years of international (outside of Kenya) experience in development, managing, overseeing, and evaluating public health programs
  • Strong management skills, strategic vision, leadership qualities, professional reputation, ability to create synergies where applicable, interpersonal skills, and written and oral presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Professional level of oral and written fluency in English
