The European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) is recruiting a Project Officer to support the work of its Civil Society Secretariat in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). The Secretariat will serve as a link between pan-African civil society initiatives and organs and processes of the African Governance Architecture (AGA) within The Charter Project Africa. The project aims to empower civil society across Africa in representing citizens at the continental level, working with the AGA, and promoting democratic governance in the African Union member states through the usage of civic tech. It is implemented by a consortium of six organisations: European Partnership for Democracy, Africtivistes, Code for Africa, Democracy Works Foundation, Goree Institute and ECDPM.
Candidates are invited to submit the full application package to [email protected], with the title of the position in the subject line by Sunday 29 August, 2021. Full professional proficiency in French and English is required.
