Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop key promotional messages in consultation with the project’s team.
  • Assist in conducting awareness-raising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops, etc. for target groups
  • Take lead in the dissemination of communication materials to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain documentation management system (hard copy and on the network)
  • Follow-up effectively of the communication department’s plan aimed at promoting knowledge and acceptance of the ERC, in addition, to Build and maintain effective internal communications across all offices.
  • Design and follow-up the monthly and the annual agenda of ERC activities in collaboration with the ERC fundraising scope.
  • Responding to media requests in an effective and timely manner and successfully maintaining, strengthening, and expansion of the network of contacts with Media. Maintain long-term relations with Journalists and producers in different journals and TV channels and communicate with them for covering ERC news.
  • Monitor ERC visibility on different media channels.
  • Facilitate the production of digital materials such as publications, newsletters, audiovisual materials, website contents.
  • Work with the team on any potential partnership with other organizations
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports for Media monitoring and for the work of the department.
  • Coordinate effectively the joint work with partners and donor communication teams
  • Maintain a database for all potential partners, donors, and sponsors interested in the field of youth and community development.
  • Built-up partnerships with different parties to develop volunteering & donation process and the community development efforts.
  • Built-up new communication channels and relations with organizations and active characters through good representation for the ERC.
  • Create and develop fund opportunities through the good presentation of the activities of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
  • Invest in international and local events in campaigns to promote the Egyptian Red Crescent, highlight its role in society.
  • Cooperate in the planning and organization in any events and campaigns organized by the Department
  • Assist to ensure compliance of activities with project communication strategy by following ERC and Donor guidelines.
  • Present regular reports to the head of the department.

Job Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Mass Comm.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in designing and executing communication & media activities.
  • Knowledge of and experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Experience of working with local NGOs, INGOs and governmental bodies would be an advantage
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
