Communications Officer
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on CDS target audience
- Write, develop, edit, and distribute content, including success stories and newsletters, website content, quarterly and annual reports, PowerPoints and other marketing material that communicates FHI 360 CDS’s activities
- Design communication materials and communicate CDS’s results using design and publishing software
- Collaborate with CDS partners to identify and develop content for success stories, newsletters, and conferences
- Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation team and programs teams to identify and develop content for success stories, newsletters, and conferences
- Conduct interviews with CDS beneficiaries, partners, and staff to develop content for success stories, newsletters, and conferences
- Take and edit professional photographs and videos to communicate CDS’s activities
- Implement FHI 360’s corporate branding policies and ensure all documentations are aligned to USAID’s branding strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
- Diploma in using publishing software (Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Diploma or relevant experience in photography
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms
- Experience in NGO related field would be an advantage
- Proven ability to produce high quality communication products
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization
- Ability to be creative
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle
