Community Development Facilitator

Reports to; Sponsorship Advocacy and Community Development Coordinator

Location; Mpharane , Mohales Hoek

Purpose of the Position:

To improve the good relationship between the child and family of the child with the sponsor, and to enhance the good performance of the AP in the management of child and project information.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes correspondences from the children to the sponsors, which are Christmas cards, Annual Progress Reports (APR) and other correspondences when applicable.

End Results Expected

Increased Child Sponsorship Management and Sponsors Retention

2. Recruit and Update Registered Children (RC) and update information in the files and Sponsorship Single User Interface (SSUI).

End Results Expected

Enhanced participation of children to become agents of change within their communities

3. Process Sponsorship 2.0 products within standard.

End Results Expected

Sponsorship 2.0 products used for improved communications between children and sponsors

4.Ensure that monitoring of CWB is observed for all RC within the set sponsorship standards using Transformed Field Environment (TFE) and Provide a follow up plan and report on missing children and Ensure that each Registered Child is visited at home once every 90 days quarter.

End Results Expected

Participation of children in developmental initiatives increased

5. Implement Christian Commitment activities in the AP namely: Spiritual nurturing of children, Strengthening church Partnerships

End Results Expected

Increased resilience of boys and girls with their communities

6.Process requests from the sponsors to the children.

End Results Expected

Communities, children and staff knowledge on Child Sponsorship and Monitoring improved

7.Run TFE reports and prepare narrative monthly report to the supervisor.

End Results Expected

Communities, children and staff knowledge on Child Sponsorship and Monitoring improved

8. Process Gift Notification and provide report thereof.

End Results Expected

Participation of children in developmental initiatives increased

9. Ensure RC participation and regularly update the data in the system (TFE)

End Results Expected

Communities, children and staff knowledge on Child Sponsorship and Monitoring improved

10.Facilitate Child Protection and Advocacy activities in your area of operation/Centre/Electoral Division (ED).

End Results Expected

Strengthened National level advocacy efforts for improved quality service delivery to promote child well-being.

11. Monitor development activities in your area of operation/center/.

End Results Expected

Effective implementation of operational activities within the center of operation.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

1. COSC with a pass in English or professional certificate.

2. Knowledge of computers will be an added advantage.

3. Motorcycle registration license will be added advantage

4. Effective in written and verbal communication in English

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Good Communication Skills

2. Good Interpersonal Skills

Additional work experience required as a minimum qualification for this position

1. Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

2. Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.

3. Community involvement including interaction with children

Honesty and personal integrity, accountability and quality achiever

Excellent communication skills

This position is contract based for a duration of one year.
