Project Overview:

NSP project is primarily designed to support Ethiopia’s effort of improving the quality of newborn care and treatment service in order to contribute to the reduction of infant and neonatal mortalities in the Country, through building the capacity of the 3 project supported hospitals, namely St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College–Addis Ababa, St. Luke Catholic hospital-Wolisso and Tulubolo hospital).

Objective and general information:

As part of the Newborn Survival project and under the specific objective aiming at improving the clinical and organizational quality and the use of the NICU in the 3 project hospitals, one activity is the production of a teaching video in Oromifa to be used by the community health workers to teach women in 5 Woredas around Wolisso on newborn care and treatment.

The video will be shoot in Wolisso (SWSZ) and surroundings interviewing CUAMM staff, health workers and local women.

Out of the above mentioned video a spot message of 30 seconds will be extract to be used in local media such as TV and radio.

Task:

  • Shooting a teaching video of 30 minutes in Wolisso and surroundings in Oromifa language.
  •  Producing a spot message (audio & video) of 30 seconds out of the video done to be broadcasted on local media (TV and Radio)

Expected Results:

  • Long video of 30 minutes in Oromifa.
  •  Short clip of 30 seconds in Oromifa for media use.
