Country Director, Ethiopia 137 views0 applications

Overview

Simprints empowers the existing mobile tools that governments and development organizations are already using to deliver essential services at the frontlines. Our goal is to radically disrupt the inaccurate way we currently track and deliver progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, and instead build a world where every person counts in the fight against poverty.

Since August 2016, we have launched projects in Bangladesh, Nepal, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Somalia, Malawi, and Ethiopia that collectively have reached over 100,000 beneficiaries. This is just the beginning. We are rapidly extending our reach, implementing projects across sectors and geographies, aiming to impact over 500,000 lives by the end of the year and 4 million lives by the end of 2020. Right now, our flagship project with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health (backed by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation) is delivering essential deworming treatment to 2 million individuals across 15 woredas of Ethiopia, so this is an exciting time to be joining Simprints!

  • Problem-solving. You have distinctive problem solving skills and good business judgment. You are capable of responding to tactical and strategic business needs and drive results that deliver genuine impact.
  • Curiosity. You have a desire to think innovatively and explore and understand how different perspectives and complex data blend together to create the bigger picture and context.
  • Learning. You love learning new things, are able to think on your feet, and can pick up new tools and methods quickly.
  • Communication. You are able to collaborate and articulately communicate concepts, ideas and decisions effectively across many levels, and build strong interpersonal relationships with engineers, operational managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Grit. You have a hands-on, can-do attitude and have the drive to dig deep into problems to discover pain points and features from multiple perspectives, and resilience to stay focused on a project to the end.
