Background

The International Potato Center (CIP) SweetGAINS WP4 seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Data Consultant to upload data sets to on-line platforms.

Objective

  • Provide assistance in data uploads to platforms.

Deliverables

  • Upload data for sweetpotato Decentralized Vine Multiplier (DVM) database on the sweetpotato knowledge portal and dashboard for Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.
  • Update of the online sweetpotato catalogue.
  • Update released varieties information on the sweetpotato dashboard.
  • Support Online Sweetpotato Germplasm Ordering Tracking Database.
  • Support management of the Sweetpotato Germplasm Acquisition and cleanup database.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Business Information Technology, Information systems or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience.
  • Knowledge of web programming and web content management applications; PHP / MySQL; Drupal 8.
  • Good report writing and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in English (both spoken and written).

Time frame

  • Consultancy contract will be for 50 days.

Conditions: This is a national consultancy position limited to Kenya nationals and permits residents only.
