As Deputy Chief of Party – Global Fund Malaria, you will be a member of the programme management team to provide technical leadership for operational activities and be responsible for administrative oversight of the program. You will play an essential role in managing and coordinating operations across program implementation areas, leading the collaborative development of program work plans, facilitating regular program reporting at the regional and headquarter levels, and ensuring that all contractual deadlines are met and targets achieved. You will be responsible for developing the strategic vision for the project and will ensure implementation of the same. You will manage the efforts of local field staff to support cohesive program planning, monitoring, and execution, as well as sharing best practices.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of a Master is degree in Public Health and/or a Degree in Medicine.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in successful project management and/or monitoring and evaluation of large health grants.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Malaria programming.
- Experience planning a national bed net distribution campaign.
- Experience managing or working with a Global Fund project.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field.
- Travel: 40% Domestic/international travel is required.
