Yeast City Housing seeks to appoint a Development Manager, to be based in Pretoria.
Report to: Managing Director
This is a 12 months fixed term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the organisations’ strategy
- Identify new development projects
- Develop cost effective plans and projects
- Manage projects
- Conduct risk assessments for all development projects
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and commissioning.
- Negotiate contracts with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure contractors adhere to contractual obligations and timeframes
- Plan and arrange site visits
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, government departments, municipalities, other NPO’s
- Secure building permits and licenses
- Ensure quality control of construction projects
- Efficient management and control of budget of the projects
Requirements:
- Project management
- Financial management
- Communications skills at all levels
- Knowledge of the construction processes
- Networking skills
- Leadership
- Ability to deliver under pressure
- Takes initiatives
- BSc. Civil Engineering; Project Management; Construction Management or any qualification in the relevant field of study – it must be NQF Level 7
- Minimum of five years’ work experience in Project Management or construction management
