Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of the DREAMS initiative.
  • Hands on experience in setting up and managing routine reporting systems for complex health programs
  • In-depth working knowledge of USAID/ PEPFAR DREAMS indicators and program reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a diverse team to deliver quality results on time.
  • Experience in data analysis and presenting highly statistical reports to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building of project staff and partners in data management .
  • Demonstrated ability to work under extreme pressure to meet strict reporting timelines.
  • Self-supervised individual with ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity, security and program data files for easy retrieval and to meet data audit requirements.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing and in managing staff
  • Effective team player.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including government departments, other DREAMS service providers and USAID as the donor.
  • Excellent report writing skills.

Required Experience/SKills:

  • Master’s Degree in demography, public health, social and economic development, public administration, international health or related fields with at least 5 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of USAID funded or HIV/AIDS projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with USAID (DATIM) and with National Health Management Information Systems and electronic medical records system.
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through informal and formal trainings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
  • Experience in data management and knowledge in best practices in data management.
  • Experience in planning and implementing data quality assessments.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word Processing, databases, spreadsheets, including advanced skills in at least two of the following statistical programs: SPSS, Epi Info, Stata.
  • Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView and REDCap are an added advantage.
  • Experience in planning and implementing surveys is an added advantage.
