JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Driver shall be professional and courteous to travelers at all times

          –  A friendly and helpful disposition to travelers

          –  Greeting when meeting travelers

          –  Help carry luggage into and out of the vehicle

          –  A professional and punctual driving service

          –  Communication with passengers

          –  Consideration for travelers (no loud music)

          –  Well groomed (in line with FHI 360 office culture)

  • The driver shall be in possession of a valid driver’s license for the appropriate code of the vehicle he/she will be in control of.
  • Drivers must at all times drive with good care and attention taking note of the vehicle and the road conditions to ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers.
  • When driving FHI 360 vehicle, the driver must give due consideration at all times to other road users including pedestrians and cyclists.
  • The Driver has total responsibility for the vehicle entrusted to him/her and should not violate any of the rules and regulations, or country/local traffic laws when driving FHI 360 vehicles and specifically observe indicated speed limits.
  • No FHI 360 vehicle shall be used for a purpose not in accordance with general FHI 360 principles, behavior and standard code of conduct
  • The wearing of seat belts is mandatory for the driver and all passengers in an FHI 360 vehicle. It is the responsibility of the driver not to drive unless all passengers comply with this rule.

        QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/ Matric or its Equivalent
    • 1-3 years of related driving experience.
    • Must have a valid driving license and a clean driving record.
    • Experience in the operation of large vehicles; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
