The Role

We are looking for ECHO Consortium Coordinator is to lead the design, implementation, management and coordination of effective and appropriate large-scale humanitarian interventions. This includes country humanitarian strategic management, representation, coordination, programme management, advocacy and programme support at senior levels

What we are looking for

The ECHO Consortium Coordinator position will require to be an exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam’s values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Degree or higher with equivalent work experience from a recognized University/college in WASH, Development or any other related area that can bring added value to the job.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years’ extensive experience in managing grants in a humanitarian context out of which at least 5 years should be supervisory/team leader/managerial experience.
  • Good understanding of WASH and EFSVL programming in refugee response programming
  • Experience leading strategy development and implementation monitoring in collaboration with staff
  • Proven experience in coordination in an international non-governmental organisation.
  • Experience in management/supervisory responsibilities, including good training and coaching skills and a willingness to support the development of others
  • Well-developed interpersonal & team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
  • Ability to operate and think strategically, coupled with proven analytical skills and the use of these to problem solve and make firm decisions
  • Prior experience training/accompanying/learning in the field.
  • Strong budget and personnel management skills
  • Proven computer literacy and analytical skills
  • Good negotiation and diplomacy skills, Responsible, flexible, adaptable, prioritising and Good team builder
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Experience of ECHO contracts Desirable

  • Experience of working effectively within a large international agency including, in refugee response setting, previous experience with ECHO & UNHCR projects would be an added advantage
  • Research background and knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS or STATA)
  • Proven ability to synthesize and distil information from a variety of sources, to draw lessons from project documentation
  • An applicant with knowledge of the local language is preferable.
