The Role (National Post)
*The Project Manager will have a strong technical background and experience in agriculture specifically in relation to livestock; You will**provide strategic leadership that will plan, coordinate and efficiently deliver the livestock project; You will have strong project management experience to manage highly complex projects which span across multiple partners, teams and geographical areas, working with subject matter experts to ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely projects and deliverables; A good ability to* *coordinate the overall implementation of the project, monitor field activities across the project and ensure adherence to implementation deadlines; You* *will work closely with the MEAL team to ensure project design and integration makes a measurable contribution to the identified communities and capturing lessons learnt;* *You will* *develop learning platforms with partners to profile implementation and provide lessons learnt, including develop partners’ capacities on planning, evaluation, financial and management issues;* *You will have good people management skills to lead on recruitment, capacity building and supervision of staff under a workable and accountable management structure; Ensuring that all staff are aware of and abide with key internal and external protocols and principles (e.g. Code of Conduct, Donor guidelines, Oxfam’s safeguarding policy).*
What we are looking for
An experienced professional with agricultural background specialised in livestock with proven project management skills, particularly in managing complex and geographically spread agricultural projects; Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build good relations both internally and externally; High level of self-awareness and resilience as this is a fast paced and demanding role working with a large number of different stake holders; A strong commitment to Oxfam’s values, to women’s rights and gender equity and to diversity**; Proven influencing and negotiating skills; Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to gather, collate, analyse and systematise information**; Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; Exceptional time management and organisation skills, ability to prioritise both your own and others’ work and with the team’s collaboration and commitment.

You will act as key contributor to the strategic vision for the EU BAFS agriculture livestock project, and work with a group of passionate people that are specialists in their respective fields.
