DMT Consult™ is a leading gender-focused and SRH consultancy firm focused to undertaking gender assessments, gender audits, project evaluations and providing capacity building trainings to international NGOs, government departments, UN agencies and local NGOs in areas of gender mainstreaming, gender responsive planning and budgeting in the agriculture, nutrition, WASH, health and other development interventions in Malawi and other countries. The firm develops manuals and packs for use in gender mainstreaming, Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB), Gender Based Violence (GBV) trainings, gender policy development and other staff capacity building trainings.

DMT Consult has upcoming and anticipated assignments with a number of clients/partners and intends to hire committed and dynamic persons for the part-time Field Supervisors positions (based in Lilongwe).

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in the preparation of field data collection work plan and assigning of enumerators into teams (need be).

Conduct on-site quality assurance of completed questionnaires and where possible, mentor enumerators for prudent data capture.

Ensure that the field data collection plan is followed, and any drawbacks are reported to associate and lead consultants.

Hold daily de-briefing sessions with enumerators to plan for daily work plan and strategize on drawbacks.

Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and any other PRA exercises with study participants/ subjects.

Make appointments with Key Informants and other stakeholders during surveys/studies.

Qualifications and Attributes

First Degree or higher in a social science or development discipline from a recognized university;

A high sense of humor with participatory leadership skills;

More than three years work experience in an active NGO or SRHR/ gender/development-centered consulting firm;

Self-starting work attitude with an innovative disposition highly required;

Prior progressive experience as a Field Supervisor is an advantage;

High level of diligence, earnest and honesty are a must.
