FINANCE AND PLANNING BUSINESS PARTNER 226 views0 applications

CARE is an international NGO with local staff and community partners in more than 90 countries. We create local solutions to poverty and inequality and we seek dignity for everyone every day and during times of crisis. These solutions have a broad range, from clean water to access to education; from microfinance to ensuring that everyone has nutritious food; from agriculture and climate change to disaster response. CARE puts women and girls at the center of everything we do because they have proven to be the best hope for creating lasting change in the world. Our staff live where they work, which makes us effective at understanding the challenges they face. We’ve been doing this for over 70 years, since World War II. It started with the world’s first CARE Package® of food for the post-war hungry in Europe. Our work today is as important as ever, we believe that poverty and inequality are historic injustices that we can end within a generation, for good. If you share our core beliefs: poverty is an injustice; poverty is solvable; and together, we have the power to end it, join us, and fight with CARE.

Description:

The Sr. Finance and Planning Business Partner will be a critical part of the Impact and Innovation senior leadership team, driving effective internal budgeting and planning for the Department as well as engaging with international program operations, finance, the Impact and Innovation Human Resources Business Partner, legal, and procurement to align CARE’s systems and operations with the transformed ways CARE intends to deliver impact by 2030. The incumbent will have a dual reporting line to the VP of Impact and Innovation and to Director of Financial Management and Business Partnering in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer of CARE-USA. The role will also be responsible for the successful operational management of the department, including planning and budget formulation and execution; regular operational alignment and quarterly strategic dialogues; integration with other teams across CARE, including particularly Resource Development and other Program departments. While each Impact and Innovation team area will have a Lead, this role is responsible for the holistic planning, coordination, and financial forecasting, and financial oversight to ensure the Impact and Innovation team as a whole is clear on objectives, is meeting outcomes measured against key indicators, and is modeling agreed cultural behaviors.
