Job Description

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but not limited to the following
  1. Handling of Cash Collection:
    1. Collect checks/cash from staffs and/or customers against cash receipts and make timely deposits to banks.
    2. Maintain cash collection and other confidential documents in safe box.
    3. Keep and ensure the proper filing of Cash Receipt Vouchers.
  2. Preparing Checks & Cash payments:
    1. Prepares Checks in settlement of business expenses.
    2. Distribute/pay checks against receipts, invoices and/or signature of recipients.
    3. Manage cash payments like per diem and accommodation for participants in workshops and trainings in Addis.
    4. Make a call to a supplier who has checks ready for disbursement
  3. Filing of Financial Documents:
    1. Maintain proper filing of vouchers, ledgers, reports, and other records.
    2. Label financial document folders in a systematic manner
    3. Scan bank statements and other selected documents for reporting to Head Quarter and for electronic filling/back-up.
  4. Settlement of Taxes:
    1. Take a lead in the settlement of monthly pension, withholding and income tax payments.
    2. Maintain proper filing of tax invoices and reports.
  5. Banking Operations:
    1. Collect bank advices, bank statements, and other bank correspondences as soon as possible.
    2. Ensure proper filing of such advices to their respective payment and receipt vouchers.
  6. Other related duties:

Undertakes other related works as required.

Job Requirements

 

·         BA Degree in Accounting.

·         Zero years of experience

·         Basic knowledge  of Microsoft Word, Excel,  and Outlook
·         Good command of English (written/spoken).

·         Ability to work in a team environment.

·         Ability to use or keen to learn office equipment’s like scanners, printers and the like
