Job Summary: The Finance Officer will be responsible for implementing AAH Uganda Programme financial policies and procedures. The position will assist the Finance and Administration Manager in reviewing and updating the policies and procedures based on the needs generated from the field offices or donor requirements.
Qualifications skills and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Accounting, Commerce or Finance
- Certificate from a recognized professional body such as Chartered Accountant or CPA is an added advantage
- At least 3 years’ work experience in finance management.
- Proven knowledge and experience of computerised systems, preferably with accounting packages i.e. PASTEL, Excel etc.
- Experience working in an NGO is an added advantage
- High degree of integrity and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently with minimum supervision and within a team.
- Ability to coach and develop staff
- Ability to manage competing tasks; ability to prioritise and produce high level output consistently
