Description of Job Duties:

  • Monitors execution of project plans and supervises the implementation of all program activities.
  • Leads in monitoring the progress of project outputs, ensuring quality delivery on a continual basis, and adherence to donor and ‘Food Security & Livelihoods’ sector standards.
  • Assists in the development of project budgets and leads in ensuring that budgets are appropriately spent according to donor requirements.
  • Assists with verification and submission of commodity movement and storage documentation.
  • Coordinates with other sectors like finance and logistics to ensure smooth program operation.
  • Works with pertinent counterparts to ensure partnerships are developed with state ministries.
  • Engages ministry staff and works with local offices on information sharing and activity updates.
  • Develops project context capacity building materials with support from IHQ.
  • Prepares and submits internal project progress reports and donor reports as needed.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops staff for assigned projects.
  • Develops and manages work plans for supervised staff, ensuring project objectives are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Agriculture or a related field, with relevant experience and training preferred; or equivalent in field-level experience.
  • Field-level experience with General Food and Non-Food Item Distributions.
  • Able to be diplomatic in communications with all NGO, governmental, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in an ever changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • A servant’s heart with a strong commitment to Christ, and desire to share Him with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be culturally sensitive and respectful of church leaders from all denominations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills required.
  • Ability to speak Arabic preferred, but not required.

24 month contract with the potential for renewal.
