Edukans is a Dutch-based INGO operating in more than 15 countries around the world and currently active in three National Regional States: Afar, Amhara & Oromia including Addis Ababa City Administration in Ethiopia, designing, and implementing impactful development programs for the grassroots community including refugees, IDPs, and returnees. Our programs focus on supporting marginalized communities to improve and rebuild their lives. Edukans is known for its focus on designing innovative tools and strategically operating through local partners to attain results at scale. Edukans works within the sectors of Access to Quality Education, Youth skills training and employment, EiE, Life skills, Girls Education and Gender including access to Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop propositions from the existing context and submit to relevant funding agencies.
- Closely work with Edukans business development and FR team across the countries.
- Plan & execute the resource mobilization and marketing activities.
- Conduct regular donor visits and make practical networking.
- Organize events for resource mobilization and networking.
- Work on the pricing of each product in collaboration with program development team.
- Track all relevant funding opportunities and take action to get involved.
- Support the strategic planning on FR and resource mobilization.
- Regularly participate on existing networking meetings.
- Establish a FR team in the country and support with capacity building.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirement: At least MA degree in Resource Mobilization, Business Development, Marketing, and other Social Science studies
Experience & Expertise
- 8 years experience of working in NGO sector with experience of resource mobilization and marketing.
- Experience with donor relations and institutional fundraising.
- Tangible experience in networking and persuasiveness.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proven writing skills, financial skills, organizational skills.
