The Fundraising and Partnerships Officer under direct supervision of the Coordinator, will specifically design and implement a Resource Mobilization (RM)strategy for the Forum with activities including;

 Rresearch identify and map out practical sources of funding i.e.; grants, donations, partnerships

 Develop donor profiles and solicitation strategies and maintain relations with donors to create new funding opportunities, ensure continued funding by existing donors and recommend other innovative funding opportunities.

 Develop and implement a fundraising work plan.

 Develop resource mobilization presentations, fundable proposals, briefing notes; participating in donor and membership meetings.

 Work closely with the staff members to monitor resources projections and scenarios and develop targeted adjustments to RM strategy to facilitate secure resource streams.

 Perform other related duties as required

Education

 A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public policy, economics, international relations, social sciences, political science or other relevant areas.

Experience

 At least two (2) years of relevant and demonstrable experience including in developing donor-funded programs (multilateral, bilateral, foundations etc.), resource mobilization and developing and managing relationships / partnerships with donors.

 Knowledge and experience of establishing initiatives fundraising with various donors, including knowledge of donor project cycles, priorities, and strategies

 Knowledge and experience in international development and public policy, particularly with donor-funded programs.

Language

 Fluency in both written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset (UN Languages are English, French, Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, Russian, Spanish).

Engagement Period

The role is strictly for a period of 8 months.

This role is hybrid in nature with the officer physically expected in office for utmost three days a week and as and when necessary.

Benefits

This role will attract an equivalent of USD1000 in allowances per month, incl. taxes.

Right to Work in Uganda

You have or can obtain the right to work in Uganda. UPFSP will not fund work permits but will provide advisory support to the successful candidate, where necessary to obtain the work permit.
