Compensation: Gross salary + benefits: 23,226,959CFA – 25,332,519CFA/annum.

The General Services Manager (GSM), is responsible, under the direct supervision of the Director of Management and Operations (DMO) for maintaining and improving effective and efficient operations of Post in the following areas: property management; facilities management; goods and service procurement management, warehouse management; administration and maintenance of motorpool; management of all incoming and outgoing shipment; volunteer support and general administrative needs including management of general services staff and vendor relationships.

This is a multi-functional position requiring a high degree of energy, flexibility and self-direction. Due to the myriad of duties required, the GSM will need an inborn sense of prioritization, customer service orientation, planning and attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently delegate and follow-up on assigned tasks, and set strategic vision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a University level degree equivalent to Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field;
  • Four to six years of experience directly working in general services/ logistics/operations management preferably in an international organization or in a similar position of leadership;
  • Experience working in a multi- cultural environment;
  • English Level III, French Level IV. Candidates will be tested.
  • Experience leading and supervising a diverse team of employees in order to direct and delegate work assignments and maximize quality and efficiency of deliverables;
  • Ability to drive – must possess a valid drivers’ license. Candidates will be tested.

· Solid knowledge of MS Office and its various applications. Candidates will be tested.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

  • Prior experience with organizing, planning, and systems management; with proven ability to create efficient processes/systems.

· Excellent prioritization, multi-tasking, planning & time-management skills and attention to detail operating in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work within and across teams, and maintain a wide range of contacts (e.g. US Embassy, Government of Senegal, vendors, and service providers).

· Knowledge of at least one local language is an added advantage.

· Show proof of residency or ability to work in Senegal.
