Vacancy: Project Administrator / Secretary

The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) in South Africa is seeking to employ a Project Administrator / Secretary based at our office in Cape Town.

Job description

  • Correspondence in German and English
  • Drafting meeting agendas and meeting notes
  • Updating director’s diary and arranging meetings
  • Organising director’s travel arrangements
  • Assisting with accounting processes, working with relevant software as well
  • Participation in planning and organising of conferences, seminars, workshops
  • Making program arrangements for delegation visits in South Africa and abroad
  • Assisting project officers / the director in implementing the Foundation’s projects
  • General office admin and filing
  • Guest hospitality services
  • Procurement
  • Administration of Petty Cash
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements 

  • A tertiary degree in a relevant subject or an excellent Matric Certificate
  • At least two years working experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, with
  • great attention to detail and a solution oriented, positive mind-set
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills
  • Well-developed writing skills in English and German
  • Commitment to the vision and mission of the Hanns Seidel Foundation
  • A South African work permit
