Title; Intern Livelihoods opportunity

Locations: Addis Ababa, and in 10 different Woredas (Adaba, Gedeb Assasa, Dodola, Kofele, Qore, Shala, Siraro, Halaba, Bule, Gedeb Woredas)

Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. This requires a multi-faceted response to ensure that no one is left behind.  The group saving model contributes directly towards SDG 1 (no poverty), 2 (zero hunger), 5 (gender equality) and 8 (decent work and economic growth).

ROLE PURPOSE:

S/he will closely liaise with all Brooke staffs at woredas to ensure timely data collection, management and use of livelihood data for decision making and learning within Brooke Ethiopia.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

–          Fresh graduate in degree program in relevant field of studies

–          Sensitivity, diplomacy, tact, good communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.

–          Well-developed interpersonal and team skills

–          Good administrative skills in order to work with people at managerial and senior government levels.

–          The ability to present concise reports, sometimes on a short notice

–          Ability to coordinate activities with other agencies, build and maintain positive working relationships.

–          Ability to understand complex security situations and adjust operations accordingly.

–          Flexibility, willingness to travel and work in difficult circumstances.

–          Good understanding of humanitarian protection standard, Sphere Minimum Standards, gender issues and Code of conduct as relevant to food distribution activities.

–          Demonstrated experience of integrated gender and diversity issues into humanitarian programs

–          Strong oral and written communication skills in English

–          Computer literacy and good data analysis skills (using MS Excel, SPSS or other software)
