Here’s where you come in:

As Grant Finance Manager – Mali/Mauritania, you will provide Leadership, Technical coaching and mentoring to the Grant Finance Team and support the Grant acquisition in the proposals development. You are expected to ensure Grants finance staff capacity strengthening, raise timely the flag for any potential risk and the development and implementation of good internal controls, risk management, and utilization and safe guarding of assets according to WV approved policies and procedures, set high quality performance targets, ensure adherence to technical standards, best practices and compliance with donors’ requirements and guidelines and coordinate the Grants planning and budgeting processes, providing real time accurate financial data, analysis and advices.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related field, with a preference for post-graduate qualifications.
  • G2G Certified.
  • Minimum of 5 years Grants management experience applied to institutional donor funded projects.
  • Experience with Results Based Management or similar results based management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing remote teams in insecure contexts to implement development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working in complex humanitarian contexts, preferably in Western Africa.
  • Excellent analytic, organizational and computer skills; MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to travel internationally 2-3 times per year to unstable and remote locations in Mali and Mauritania.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French skills required. 2 years of experience in development program.
