Chemonics International Inc. seeks a Grants and Subcontracts Specialist for the anticipated five-year, USAID-funded Tuhifadhi Maliasili Activity in Tanzania. The objective of the Activity is to address key threats to habitat connectivity and biodiversity by implementing a series of interventions that: 1) build the capacity of the public sector and civil society, 2) increase private sector engagement, and 3) strengthen the policy and regulatory frameworks.

We encourage applications from individuals who have experience implementing donor-funded programing for grants and subcontracts components. 

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementing grants and subcontracts under donor-funded (USAID preferred) programs in Tanzania
  • Experience on environmental and/or conservation programs preferred
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili desirable
