**Overview:**DT Global is seeking a Grants Compliance and Communications Coordinator to support the USAID Shejeh Salam Activity in South Sudan. The Grants Compliance and Communications Coordinator (GCCC) will be based in Juba and lead the Compliance, Communications, and Coordination Unit. This unit will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of all Shejeh Salam grants with USAID regulations; the production of Activity deliverables to USAID; coordination with other USAID implementing partners (IPs) and USAID coordination mechanisms and coordinating the tracking of all Shejeh Salam grant and procurement information. The GCCC will report to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) – Programs.

Activity Background: Under contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), DT Global is implementing the five-year, Shejeh Salam Activity in South Sudan. Shejeh Salam is building the foundation for a more stable and socially cohesive South Sudan that will enable local actors to build community cohesion to promote peace processes and peaceful co-existence; civil society actors that advocate for peace and reconciliation and participate in civic processes; provide trauma awareness services to communities; and access to media that is providing accurate, fair, and thorough information to mitigate the impact of rumor and misinformation. Shejeh Salam is currently programming in the five States and 13 Counties as prioritized by USAID, although geographic focus may shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a three-person team responsible for compliance, database management, and communications, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of all USAID deliverables including but not limited to: quarterly and annual reports, Workplans, and other annual submissions; reviewing and copy-editing all deliverables prior to submission; managing the timelines for all deliverable submissions.
  • Coordinate and lead the review and finalization of grant documentation, including submissions to USAID, ensuring that all documentation is present, fully executed, and compliant with all applicable Shejeh Salam and USAID rules and regulations.
  • Promote a strong knowledge-culture of sound contract and risk management practices aligned with Shejeh Salam and USAID policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and lead the collation, tracking, and utilization of Program and Procurement data through the maintenance and development of data management platforms.
  • Lead the coordination of USAID Flyaway visits to field locations in liaison with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and USAID representatives including the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Security personnel and other IPs.
  • Support the Communications, Collaboration and Reporting Director (CRD) to establish and develop new Activity communication channels including new social media opportunities.
  • Any other responsibilities as determined by the DCOP-Programs or Chief of Party (COP).

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree is required; Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience, including experience supporting USAID contracts. Management experience is desirable.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication.
  • Professional report writing experience. Experience drafting reports for USAID is desirable.
  • Knowledge of USAID contracts, including the rules and regulations surrounding reporting and grants compliance.
  • Understanding of project management skills, including budget and financial management, contractual compliance, procurement/subcontract/grant management, client relations and knowledge of client, and personnel management.
  • Experience managing programs with funds (grants and other sub-award type agreement) components, including knowledge of contracts, budget/financial management, and overall administration.
  • Ability to confidently manage external relationships including those with USAID, Grantees, and other USAID IPs.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their utilization for amplifying program outcomes preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of South Sudan’s history, culture, and current events is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with South Sudanese counterparts, other donor-funded projects, and USAID.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, and decisive decision-making capabilities, often in trying circumstances.
  • Ability/willingness to travel throughout South Sudan to support teams as needed.
