mothers2mothers (m2m) is an Africa-based NGO that unlocks the potential of women to eliminate paediatric AIDS and create healthy families across eight sub-Saharan African countries. m2m trains, employs, and helps empower HIV-positive women to work as community healthcare workers in understaffed health centres and underserved communities. Job Description

The Grants & Compliance Intern will provide administrative support to the Grants & Compliance team.

Key Performance Areas
Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and facilitate signature of commercial agreements (excl. lease agreements)
  • Manage the m2m consultancy process
  • Manage the compliance of deliverable submissions and project director reports
  • Maintain lease trackers
  • Undertake procurement, including sourcing quotes from vendors and creating purchase requisitions
  • Preparations for board meetings, including preparation of agendas, board materials and
  • Management of Directors & Officers insurance
  • Coordinate and assist with ad hoc projects as requested

Deliverables

  • Monthly milestone reports
  • Quarterly milestone & project director reports
  • Timeous review and processing of consultant & commercial agreements
  • Update and disseminate lease tracker quarterly
  • Other deliverables as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field;
  • Prior work experience in a non-government organisation (NGO) or development field;
  • Proficient in English;

Competencies:

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office;
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports;
  • Strong attention to detail, administrative, organisational, and written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise;
  • Sound independent judgement;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with individuals from diverse background;
  • A passion for m2m’s vision and mission.
