The role: HUMAN RESOURCES/ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR, SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL – (Liberia) Country Office**

Role Purpose:

The incumbent will be accountable for the provision of effective HR/Admin services working hand in hand with the Director of Support Services. He/She will coordinate all aspects of office HR and administration functions including recruitment, investigation, HR Systems, staff contracts, payroll and documentation, staff medical insurance, health and wellbeing etc.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications and experience

  • Education Level – Bachelor Degree at least
  • Specified Study Area – Human Resources/Administration/Social Sciences or prior experience in Human Resources

Essential

  • Humanitarian/development professional with a relevant Masters’ Degree or equivalent professional

experience.

  • Recommended seven years’ experience in both emergency and development contexts, preferably with

    substantial experience in program and donor engagements

  • Experience in coordinating the development of large-scale or strategic proposals, including the development

of multi-million-dollar project budgets. Experience with U.S., Swedish, EU, and other significant donors’

processes

  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate

clearly and effectively at all levels, summarizing and synthesizing complex information for various audiences.

  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from

    diverse backgrounds and cultures.

  • Solution and results-oriented, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets.
  • Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge

    teams in emergencies.

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
  • Commitment to Save the Children’s values, including a willingness to abide by and enforce the Child

    Safeguarding policy.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Liberia, and Sub-Saharan Africa and with Save the Children
